Basic Information
Biophysics Is an Interdisciplinary Science That Either Tries To Explain Biological Phenomena With Physical Models, Develop Novel Physical Tools For Biological Studies, Or Both. The Course Will Concentrate On Fundamental Biophysics Concepts. Including# Random Walk, Particles Under Force and Random Motion, Electrostatics of Molecular Systems and More. Learning Outcomes# The Students Will Be Able to Solve Problems in The Following Subjects# 1. Biological Scales, Random Walks in Biology and Diffusion, Brownian Motion, Random Walk, 2. Diffusion Equations, Fick I + Ii,_ 3. Einstein-smoluchowski Relations and Smoluchowski Eq., 4. Physical Models of Biological Systems. 5. Fundamentals of Biology# Cell Types and Structure, Central Dogma, Dna, Rna. Proteins. 6. Fluctuation-dissipation Theorem. 7. Langevin Equation. 8. Proteins and Their Structure, Using Pdb For Exploring Proteins. 9. Fluids and Low Reynolds Numbers. 10. Electrostatics and Molecular Motors, Poisson-boltzmann Equation, Nernst Potential. The Students Will Be Able to Study a Biophysial Subject, Prepare And Give a Seminar On The Subject.
