Methods of Predicting The Possible Severity of Theses Hazards And Presenting, Controlling Or Mitigating Them. Quantitative Engineering Analysis Based On Application of Mass and Energy Balances, Fluid Mechanics of Liquid, Gas, and Two-phase Flows, Heat Transfer and The Conservation of Energy, Mass Transfer, Diffusion and Dispersion Under Highly Variable Conditions, Reaction Kinetics, Process Control, And Statistics. Concepts of Management and Individual Responsibility, Teamwork and The Appreciation For Orders of Magnitude Estimation And Relative Significance. Learning Outcomes# at The End of Th Course The Student Will Be Able To# 1. Understand The Concepts of Safety Barriers, Process and Personal Safety, and Also Understand The Role of Engineering in Developing And Implementing Risk Reduction Methods. 2. Understand The Impact of Process Safety Incidents On Operational Profitability. 3. Understand The Principles and Applications of Various Risk Assessment and Risk Technologies, and The Human Factors Involved In Ensuring That These Technologies Are Deployed. 4.
