Evaluate Multiple Technology-based Solutions to The Need, Then Select a Leading Solution and Move It Toward The Market Through Prototyping, Technical De-risking, Strategies to Address Healthcare-specific Requirements (regulation, Reimbursement), and Business Planning (ip, Funding, Commercialization). Learning Outcomes# The Course Provides an Intensive, Hands-on Introduction to The Process Of Health Technology Innovation. As Part of an Interdisciplinary Project Team, The Student Will Learn# 1. How to Identify a Significant Unmet Healthcare Need. 2. Design and Create a Prototype of a New Technology to Address It. 3. Prepare a Plan For Bringing The Solution to Market (including Reference to Fund Raising, Intellectual Property, Regulatory, Reimbursement and Business Models). Note# a Continuation Course to The Biodesign 1 Course. The Final Grade For The 2 Courses Will Be Given Following Complettion of The Assignments in The Biodesign 2 Course.
