Upon Completion of The Course The Student Will Have a Basic Understanding of The Approach to Clinical Problems-being Able To Identify Clinical Problems, Research Relevant Basic Science And Clinical Knowledge and Synthesize That Knowledge- and Develop An Understanding of Common Diseases Affecting Major Organ Systems, And Be Able to Identify Appropriate Treatments (medical/surgical/behavioral). The Student Will Also Become Proficient and Knowledgeable in Strategies of Preventive Medicine To Prevent The Onset of Such Diseases Through The Use of The Physical Examination and History, Screening Tests, Biomarkers, and Targeted And Population-level Interventions.
