The Emphasis in The Course Is On The Use of Existing Software, Especially Packages That Are Available On The World Wide Web (e.g., at Www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). in Each Lecture, We Shall Present a Problem in Bioinformatics, Including Its Biological Background, Explain The Tools For Its Solution, and Exemplify Their Usage. Topics Include# Introduction and Historic Background, Representation and Retrieval of Genomic and Proteomic Sequences, Sequence Analysis and Alignment,regulatory Elements, Gene Hunting, Gene Expression Analysis (from Dna Chips), Phylogenetic Trees, Genetic Linkage.
