A Critical Reading of The Israeli Landscape From a Trans-disciplinary Perspective That Approaches The Landscape As a Text Open to Diverse Readings and Interperation. The Course Will Explore The Representation of The Israeli Landscape in The Visual Arts, Film, Arcitecture and Literature As a Basis For Exploring a Set of Key Questions#the Relationship Between Production and Representation Of The Israeli Landscape, The Effect of Social, Political and Cultural Practices On Its Construction, and The Changes That Have Occurred Over Time. These Questions Will Be Applied to Israeli Spatial Contexts Such As The Israeli City, Kibbutz, Heritage Sites and Sites of Memory, National Parks and Agricultural Landscapes.
