The Course Examines Statutory Planning As a Tool For The Policy And Regulation of Space. The Aim of The Course Is to Expose The Student To The Planning and Building Law, Understanding The National Planning System, Types of Plans, Plan Components (blueprint, Regulations And Appendices), Planning and Construction Regulations, Fire and Escape Safety Standards, User Safety, Accessibility and Health And Implementation, On The Changes - Their Characteristics and Status, Discussion and Approval Processes, Flexibility Between Planning And Execution - Facilitations and Overuse and Discretion. The Course Also Deals With Representing and Integrating Economic, Social, And Environmental Considerations in Planning Processes, Including Public Awareness, Public Participation and Tools , and The Uniqueness of The Actions of a Landscape Architect. Learning Outcomes# at The End of Thecourse# 1. Students Will Be Acquainted With and Become Proficient In The Planning and Building Law and Its Constant Updating Process. 2.students Will Develop Preliminary Skills in Using Legal And Professional Language , and Will Learn to Interpret Plans, Drawings, Guidelines, Appendices, and Data Bases. 3. Students Will Come To Be Aware of The Complexity of Private Versus Public Interests in The Planning Process and Their Duty As Professionals To Integrate and Represent Both, While Critically Understanding The Values And Procedures That Guide The Public Regulation of Space.
