Basic Information
Primary and Secondary Air Pollutants, Sources and Impacts, Aerosols Properties, Photochemical Reactions, Stratospheric Ozone, Atmospheric Dispersion of Air Pollutants, Indoor Air Quality, Air Quality Monitoring and Management of Air Resources, Technologies Available To Reduce Emissions of Gaseous and Particulate Air Pollutants. Learning Outcomes# Students Will Become Familiar With The Main Air Pollutants, Understand The Chemical Processes Involved in Air Pollution Phenomena (e.g., Photochemical Smog, Acid Rain, And Stratospheric Ozone Layer Depletion), Learn How to Calculate Dispersion of Atmospheric Pollutants Using Gaussian Dispersion Models, And Will Acquire a Basic Understanding of Policy and Treatment Technologies to Reduce Emissions of Gaseous and Particulate Air Pollutants.
