The Course Introduces Basic Techniques in Bioinformatics, Including Ways to Retrieve and Analyze Big-data in Biology and Medicine. The Course Will Focus On Available Tools to Solve Problems in Modern Biology. Students Will Learn Ways to Represent and Search For Protein and Nucleic-acid Sequences, Predict Structures and Analyze Biological Networks. Learning Outcomes# at The End of The Course The Studetns Will Be Able To# 1. Understand The Basic Principles Applied in The Main Bioinformatics Tools. 2. Apply The R Programming Language and Other Tools to Answer Biological and Medical Questions. 3. Evaluate The Results of Different Bioinformatics Tools Using The Correct Statistical Methods. 4. Acquire Experimental Biological Dataset and Prepare Them For Analysis. 5. Design and Perform a (small Scale) Research Project in Biology Using Bioinformatics Tools and Databases. 6. Summarize and Present a Research Project For a Professional Audience.
